Rackometry terms

Terms of use

Effective 27 September 2026

Rackometry is provided by KMB IT Solutions Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 10463447, with registered office at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. By using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms and standard end-user licence agreement. Mandatory legal or App Store rights take priority where they cannot be changed by these terms.

Licence and permitted use

KMB grants the lawful App Store user a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Rackometry on supported Apple devices for rack planning, capture, auditing and related record preparation. You must not resell the app, provide unauthorised access, interfere with its security, or copy, decompile or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits this.

Your authority and responsibility

You are responsible for obtaining authority to photograph equipment, process serial numbers or asset information, import records and share exports. You must follow site security, privacy, health and safety, change-control and confidentiality requirements. Do not use the app where cameras or personal devices are prohibited.

Trial and one-off purchase

Eligible users may start a 14-day trial of assisted features. The trial does not automatically become a paid purchase. A permanent unlock is an optional one-off in-app purchase which the user must separately approve through Apple. Apple displays and processes the local price, taxes, refund rights and transaction. Availability and purchase terms may vary by country. Core data is not deleted when a trial ends.

Local data and backups

Rackometry stores working rack data locally. You are responsible for device security, keeping suitable exports or backups, checking a file before importing it into another system and preserving any original source file. Removing the app or losing the device may remove local data. Rackometry is intended to complement, not replace, an organisation’s authoritative DCIM, asset, engineering or compliance system.

Assisted results require confirmation

Camera recognition, optical text reading, U-height proposals, catalogue matches, dimensions, power information and other assisted results can be incomplete or wrong. You must inspect the equipment and verify important values against current manufacturer documentation before purchasing, moving, mounting, powering, cabling or relying on a device record. Rackometry is not an electrical calculation, structural assessment, safety certification or substitute for a competent engineer.

Catalogue and third-party material

Catalogue coverage is not guaranteed. Product names, trade marks and official documents belong to their respective owners. Their appearance identifies compatible equipment and does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation. Source links are supplied for verification; the current source should be checked because product specifications and support status change.

Online service

Catalogue lookup and research requests require an internet connection and depend on third-party infrastructure. KMB may maintain, change, rate-limit or withdraw an online feature to protect the service, comply with law or improve the product. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every requested model will be researched or added.

Content and intellectual property

You and your organisation retain rights in rack information and files you create or import. You grant KMB no right to locally stored rack data. KMB and its licensors retain rights in Rackometry, its design, code, documentation, branding and curated catalogue structure and content, excluding third-party trade marks and source material.

Privacy

The Rackometry privacy policy explains local processing, online search terms, service providers, retention and privacy rights.

Liability

Rackometry is a productivity aid and its proposed results must be checked. To the extent permitted by law, KMB is not responsible for loss caused by unverified entries, unauthorised capture or export, failure to keep a backup, use contrary to site rules, or reliance on the app as engineering or safety approval. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. KMB may suspend online access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, security risk or a material breach. Clauses concerning ownership, responsibility, liability and law continue where their nature requires.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that a consumer may retain mandatory rights and jurisdiction available in their country of residence. We may update these terms for new features, provider requirements or legal changes; the effective date identifies the current version.
