Rackometry support

Support information for Rackometry on iPhone and iPad

Before contacting support

Confirm the application is up to date and note the device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and the action that caused the issue. Do not include client-confidential rack or asset data unless specifically requested through an approved support channel.

Local working data

Rackometry stores its working rack records on your device. If you remove the application, local data may also be removed. Export important rack records before reinstalling or changing devices.

Camera-assisted capture

Use the lower and upper rack photographs with a visible overlap. The first step proposes occupied equipment blocks and U heights; confirm the individual devices and details afterwards. You can always add or reposition a missed block manually.

Catalogue searches

Start with the manufacturer and the shortest recognisable model name, such as Dell R660 or Cisco 5596. Search is not case-sensitive. When several product codes are returned, use the result filter to narrow the list.

Import problems

Map the headings from your source file, then check rack positions, heights and mounting-side values. Keep a copy of the original file before making changes.

Report a problem

Email contact@kmbitsolutionsltd.co.uk with your device model, iOS or iPadOS version and a description of the issue.

Feedback is welcome

Rackometry is being shaped around real rack-planning and audit work. If a workflow, device search or camera result could be clearer, include the steps you followed and the result you expected in your support message. Do not include client-confidential information.
