Rackometry Business
Business terms
Effective 30 September 2026
Rackometry Business is supplied by KMB IT Solutions Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 10463447, with registered office at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. These terms apply to organisation evaluations and paid Rackometry Business licences for Windows and macOS.
Business software licence
The standard licence permits one purchasing organisation to authorise up to 10 users and activate up to 20 computers for its own internal business use. Computers may be assigned to a named user or operated as a shared audit computer controlled by the organisation. The licence is limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable. It must not be resold, shared with another legal entity or used to provide unrelated third parties with access to Rackometry Business.
Evaluation
An eligible organisation may request one 14-day evaluation using a verified work email. No payment is taken to start the evaluation. KMB may refuse or end an evaluation where information is false, duplicate evaluations are requested, or the service is misused.
Price and renewal
The introductory first year for the standard organisation licence is £149. Unless cancelled, it renews annually at the standard price of £249 per year. An additional capacity pack providing 10 users and 20 computers is £149 per year. Checkout displays the final currency, taxes, billing period, introductory price and renewal total before the purchaser confirms payment.
Payment and cancellation
Paddle acts as merchant of record for website purchases and processes payment, local taxes, invoices, subscription management and eligible refunds. The organisation can cancel future renewal through the customer portal or by contacting KMB before the next billing date. Cancellation stops the next charge but does not normally end access before the paid period expires.
Activation and reasonable checks
Each authorised computer uses a device-bound activation. Rackometry Business may make periodic online checks to confirm that the subscription and activation remain valid. Normal licensed field use can continue offline for up to 30 days between checks. Administrators can release an old computer and transfer its activation. Attempts to bypass activation limits, duplicate keys, interfere with checks or provide access outside the licensed organisation are prohibited.
Expiry and grace period
A seven-day payment grace period may apply during a temporary renewal problem. When a licence expires or is revoked, existing rack records remain available to view and export, but editing and licensed features remain unavailable until the licence is reactivated. KMB does not delete locally stored rack records when a licence ends.
Local records and responsibility
Rackometry Business stores rack records locally. The organisation is responsible for computer security, authorised users, backups, exports, retention, confidentiality and compliance with site rules. It must have authority to process serial numbers, asset tags, photographs and imported records. Rackometry is a field productivity tool and does not replace the organisation’s authoritative DCIM, asset, engineering or compliance system.
Results require verification
Imported data, catalogue matches, measurements, equipment specifications and audit results can be incomplete or wrong. Users must verify important values against physical equipment, current manufacturer documentation and the organisation’s approved records. Rackometry Business is not an electrical calculation, structural assessment, safety certification or substitute for a competent engineer.
Availability and changes
KMB may provide maintenance and security updates and may change online services where reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted online access. Material changes to the licence or renewal price will be communicated before they take effect. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Intellectual property
The organisation retains rights in its rack information and files. KMB retains rights in Rackometry Business, its code, design, documentation, branding and curated catalogue structure, excluding third-party trade marks and source material. Reverse engineering or circumvention is prohibited except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, KMB is not responsible for loss caused by unverified entries, unauthorised capture or export, failure to keep backups, use contrary to site rules, or reliance on Rackometry as engineering or safety approval. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to the purchaser. Questions may be sent to contact@kmbitsolutionsltd.co.uk. The refund policy and business privacy policy form part of the product information.
